About the Rose City, Windsor ON

Affectionately named ‘The Rose City’, Windsor, Ontario earned this title in the early 1900’s . Given its warmer climate, roses were a popular flower planted by British immigrants living in Windsor. It was rumored that Windsor had more roses than any other Canadian city of the same population. 

Windsor is a border city and sits across the Detroit River from its sister city, Detroit, Michigan, USA.
